Glass USA Stein - M. Cornell Steins 5964 Glass USA Stein - M. Cornell Steins 5964

Item # 5964
For many of us, being American more closely describes our identity than the roots of our ancestors. For this reason, it is most appropriate to include this USA stein in our glass heritage stein series.

The stars and stripes are the inspiration for the red/white/blue 3-color print that is high fired and wraps around the stein's glass body. Laurel wreaths and bunting complete the body design. An embossed pewter applique featuring a proud bald eagle perched upon a "USA" banner that is permanently attached to the glass body. The embossed pewter lid is decorated with an eagle clutching arrows and wreaths in its talons and hold an "E. PLURIBUS UNUM" banner in its beak. A "USA" shield completes the lid design. The border of the lid is decorated with alternating stars and eagle feathers. (Two views of the same stein are shown.)

Pewter white eagle stein Pewter white eagle stein

In 1295, Poland's King Przemysl II established the Crowned White Eagle as his royal emblem. This exquisite, half-liter pewter stein celebrates the White Eagle, from its origin in the 13th century to its current incarnation ý still Poland's national symbol. Each stein is entirely handmade. First, a skilled metalsmith hand-sculpts an original design, which he uses to create a mold. Then, liquid pewter is injected into the mold to make the form, which is then hand-finished and polished. Quality that matches the finest German pewter at a price that leaves room in your budget for a few tasty imported lagers. 9¼" tall.
